Almost Over

A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year people!

Never too late nor early for warm wishes, is not it? I hope your Christmas went as blessed as mine. Growing up in a Christian family has got me used to celebrating Christmas in the church and that is how it went this time too. There is something very genuine about spending this day in the church. I know it sounds very obvious but from what it has appeared to be today, Jesus' birthday has become a "holiday", like a "festival". Thanks to commercialization Christmas has become more than a religious affair.

The Military Bridal Force

HOLAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! I am so excited to be blogging again. I have so many pending posts for you I suggest you keep popping in here every now and then. Truth be told, I almost thought I lost my vibe for a change- I’ve been away for quite some time. There’s no one but me to blame. I got so busy with college and boy let me tell you the past semester was nerve wrecking. Fun, but tiring.

The seventh semester of Fashion Design department offered us electives to choose from and one of them was STYLING. I know. I love it. There is no other subject I’d trade this one for.  And the icing on the cake? Aakanksha Nanda. Our faculty Prof. Banhi Jha did us the biggest deed by inviting her to guide us. Before I knew her as a stylist I had known her as one of the beautiful women ace photographer late Prabuddha Dasgupta photographed. Turns out she was a NIFT Delhi Fashion Design alumnus too. Having her as our guest faculty was the biggest treat the institute could have given us. Her guidance was practical and fun. She brought along so many opportunities for us to grab.

The post today is our Editorial assignment we had shot in the college. Have a look-

Smile the colors out

Okay, so here is an outfit post after what feels like a hundred years!
I've been so busy in life that most days I regret not shooting for a post because I hardly repeat an outfit. Not like I never wear the same clothes, more of, I don't wear the same top with the same bottom and carry the same bag with the same shoe. :D This whole mix and match mantra is a whole different game. You get to look different without having to spend so much as how you look. I shall write a post about it all someday. For today, Black and white.

Omega and the Alpha.

My life has reached another small yet significant milestone.
Completed eight weeks of my industry training at Triburg and now, waiting to see what the last year of college has in store for me. This journey has been nothing but ecstatic in each and every step at its own level. I got through it all only by the mercy of the Lord.

Resolutions 2015.5

Hello.
So I've been doing nothing this week and it got me depressed. I've been so used to all the work pressure from college, that I haven't been able to handle a peace of mind. So I decided to have a New Mid Year Resolution:
Do atleast one thing everyday that is not a part of your daily routine.

Monotonal Summers

It's 45 Degree Celsius now in New Delhi.
I am literally sweating like a pig. What annoys me most in such a weather is dressing up- in formals. This was my outfit for the church service this Sunday.

A Sunday Attire

-A home away from home-
The first line which came to my head whilst trying to define my trips to church every Sunday.
When child Jesus was "lost" for three days, he was found talking to the priests in the Temple (the holy place of worship). His parents were very worried and so when they saw Him, they started to scold him for being irresponsible. His reply was- "Why were you searching for me? Didn't you know I had to be in my Father's house?"

Jesus considered the Temple his home. Which pretty much justifies why we are so emotionally attached to the Christian culture of church services every Sunday.

Teatro dell'Opera di Roma

Another throwback post. Because-Thursday. Kidding. I'm going to skip all apologies and believe you have got used to my irregularity. I know my title seems too fancy for myself, but it was the inspiration to this ensemble, so what the hell. Just go with it.

Weaved Up

Hey people! It's been a month not blogging and all apologies wouldn't make a difference. I'm gonna make it up but bombarding you with new looks and ensembles this month!

College has been taking up most of my time. February saw the NIFT New Delhi Spectrum and a lot of assignments to cope up to.  And now, we have started working on our portfolios for internships this summer. Most of the posts now on will have to do with the garments I have designed and constructed myself.

Paint me.

"Paint me up, my dear, I've been so colorless,
The grey around me has been so loud.
I'm loving the words that make me tremble,
You put my thoughts among the clouds.
Paint me up and let me be,
Baby, I'm not just a nominee.
I'm here to win, here to spin,
Everything about you, so just let me in.
But I gotta let you know, I'm not gonna be easy,
I'm gonna burst out loud just as you paint me.
Try me, but let me be,
Don't push too hard, do not shove me,
Just show me you and then paint me,
Paint me up, and let me be. "

Self composed.

The Balancing Act

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.”

Likewise, to keep moving, you must keep balance. I am talking about everything here: from emotions to diet, from lifestyle to fashion. "The Balancing Act" keeps it all intact and puts everything where it belongs to. Thus making everything fit in, whilst being equally important.

Golden Globes 2015: My take

The award season is here: Golden Globes, Oscars, Star Guild and all the likes.
Blogs and fashion websites will be filled with "Best Dressed" and "Worst Dressed" lists.
That got me thinking why shouldn't I write about what I always felt going through these lists. So here I am, what you are going to read are what these celebrities (or their stylists) could have added to/thrown from their ensemble to make them the best dressed. For that I've chosen celebrities whose get ups I really loved, but were teeny weeny steps away from the oomph factor.

Before that, I want to name two celebrities i absolutely have nothing to add to. They look awesomesauce from head to toe:
